    Filming Around My House      Today I started my filming. For my very first shot, I ran into a problem. Where I wanted to have my first shot the lighting couldn't get right. The tone of the commercial is supposed to be happy and upbeat but the lighting turned the mood of the shot sad and more depressed. I tried different things but I ended up just switching to a different room which helped but not completely. So I ended up getting a couple flashlights and positioning them around the room where the show will be. After that, the timing went smoothly. I change some of my locations from room to room but the overall aspect of what was in the shot stayed the same.  I did a couple shot every time even if I thought the one-shot I had gone well so I wouldn't have to do back to reshoot and I would have options in case something was in the background of a one-shot I didn't like the zoom in and out was a little lower in one than the other.            Best Day of My Life Storyboard          For my storyboard, I layed out each idea and scene of what I wanted to do. I wanted the scene to start with a person getting ready. For example, the first scene would start with the person getting out of bed. Next, it would follow them to the bathroom as they got ready. It will show aspects so the audience knows what is going on but not the whole face. Then the camera will go to the person grabbing breakfast from the fridge and cabinet. This will be when they are just about to start their morning. The camera will then cut to the garage where the person is getting their bike out. The bike will be taken out and the person will be followed down the road while they ride their bike. They will be followed directly behind for a few seconds. Then the camera will cut to the beach. Best Day of My Lives: Music Video Plan Music Video Plan     This commercial required many aspects to be planned out before starting any actual physical work on the project. I am thinking of all the plans on my own because at stated I am the only person working on this project. Before anything else happened I planned on where I will be recording my music video. I came to the conclusion that the music video will be telling the story of someone's day so I wanted the location to match. The music video will start in the bedroom of someone waking up then go thru the house and they get ready and go out to the streets where I will be riding my bike away. Then the scene will cut to the beach and those will be the locations where filming will be held. The costumes involved will be pajamas when the getting ready part is being filmed and the rest will be an appropriate beach outfit.   The Common Conventions in Alternative Rock     The song I am using for my music video is Best Day of My Life by American Authors. They are a rock band and deal in alternative, folk, pop, and indie rock. When listening to this genre of music usually there is a big beat drop where the song will build up to a climax and then continue with a bigger sound. This type of music has an unconventional style different from the usual music. This will play into how the music video is formated and what is shown during these big sound parts but mainly the lyrics are a huge part of the genre. The lyrics are all said for a reason and all have an underlying message. The message itself can range from many things but it is usually inspirational, talking about having a great day, or just having a happy vibe.  Introduction to the Music Video Project     Throughout this whole project, I will be working on my own with help from family to record. All the ideas will come from me but I do need the help of others to execute them. Although other people will be recording for me I will be telling them how to do the shot and at what angle to do it. I am choosing to work by myself because I believe that it is a better way of working on this project. It is easier because I can do the project on my own time and what is best for me because I am the only one I have to consider. This is a lot easier, especially because we are in a time of mainly online learning. If I tried to do it with a group especially considering I'm not the closest to anyone in class it would be hard to meet up and record everything needed.  Gatorade Commercial CCR    1.   My commercial targets the social group of the hardworking athlete. The product is meant to be used by athleats to push them to do better so the commercial is targeted to them because it is a drink to better their performance. It challenges the conventions that usually athelets just drink water during workouts. Gatorade the product in the commercial challenges the idea the water suffices during a workout by showing Gatorade is better because it pushes you to be better.   Every athlete wants to perform their best and seeing that Gatorade does that they will be more anticed to buy it.  2. The Gatorade Commercial      This was the final product of my commercial and I' m very happy with the outcome of filming and editing. Once I did all my filming and I was looking at the shots I was concerned because just looking at the film I didn't think the editing was gonna help. However, as I started editing the shots I started to realize that my view was coming together. I had a really fun time figuring out from what angle and how I wanted my shots to be taken to get the dramatic effect I wanted to get from the commercial. Gatorade to me is meant to be like a drink that lets you do it all and I think I got that message across. My overall commercial came out good but it did not follow the original plan I had. I had to take out some shots because my commercial was too long and surpasses the 30 seconds by about 20 seconds.   Editing The Clips     Before starting the editing process I was a little concerned about if all the clips would come together with the way I had envisioned but I liked the final product. I first started by dumping all my film onto the tablet and I put it into the editing software. I started by ordering all the takes into the order I wanted them in. Then I started to watch them and see what takes I wanted to keep for the final product and deleted the ones I didn't want. I then started cutting the clips and getting them the size I wanted them. I then got the music I would be using for my commercial. I got inspirational music with words to be played so the viewer got the inspirational you can do it message that Gatorade stands for. I then transferred the song I liked to the commercial and played it over all the clips. Then I started editing the clips individually. Filming At Vanessa's House      The location had to be moved from the softball field and track to my house because the fields and track were flooded after I checked two different locations. I filmed all of my shots on November 1st. So I did the same plan as what I was doing at the park but at home. I started by gathering all the props I would be using for the shot. I also used the same outfit for both sports to just express a workingout outfit was a representation for all sports just as gatorade is a drink for all sports even though they are different. Throughout the whole commercial some of my storyboard shots were hard to execute with the materials I had at home so some adjustments had to be made. My storyboard overall did not go to far from the idea that I originally had.
