Filming At Vanessa's House
Filming At Vanessa's House
The location had to be moved from the softball field and track to my house because the fields and track were flooded after I checked two different locations. I filmed all of my shots on November 1st. So I did the same plan as what I was doing at the park but at home. I started by gathering all the props I would be using for the shot. I also used the same outfit for both sports to just express a workingout outfit was a representation for all sports just as gatorade is a drink for all sports even though they are different. Throughout the whole commercial some of my storyboard shots were hard to execute with the materials I had at home so some adjustments had to be made. My storyboard overall did not go to far from the idea that I originally had. With my comercial changing locations I though it could be a good thing becuase now during this time it would portray the message that although you can't go out you can still have Gatorade to fuel your workouts at home. Editing will make a lot of the dramatic effects but one effect that I did on my own was putting flour in the glove to make it smokey and have the dramatic effect. This was my goal throughout filming. Since I was the actor I did have to get someone to do the recording for me. So I would show them how the shot should be executed and they would execut it that way. Since I did not have proffessional lighting I tried to use the sun to my advantage and I filmed between 4 and 5 when the sun was at its brighest. I set up all the props to do the shots and then did the filming when the lighting was how I liked it. There were some isssues with keeping the camera still when zooming in and out but after a couple shots the camera was steady. We also had to redo a couple shots because the focus would go to the wrong object because I was filming with my Iphone camera which isn't the ideal camera to use however it still gets the job done. It had rained consecutively before my filming day so I could not film earlier and when I went to the field and track to film when it wasn't raining it was to flooded to film. So when I filmed at home I tried to get different angles and backgrounds. My filming was meant to show that Gatorade fuels workouts. At the end of the comercial I also recorded shots of different balls being thrown in the air as a way to express that Gatorade is for all sports. Overall my filming went well and I got the message portarayed to the best of my ability.
