Preparing to Film
Preparing to Film
This was my and my group's final preparation before filming. Since we lost filming days we knew it was best to fully prepare since we were running behind. We started off by printing out copies of our storyboard and script. We would use these on filming day to ensure that we didn't miss filming any scenes. We would also print these things out so they would be easily accessible on filming day. The next thing we would do would be to ensure we had the costumes and props ready. The costumes are just normal clothes so we had that figured out but props were a different story. For our film, most of our props were household items but a few of them were not. This included the special effect items. One of the things we planned on doing was using sugar as broken glass. This is for the car crash scenes in our film. Since we can't actually crash cars and are limited with editing we will have to use alternative methods to convey to the audience a car crash has happened. We will use broken sugar to mimic broken glass from the car crash. We also are considering using a fog machine near the glass to mimic a smoking engine from the crash. The last thing we plan to do is use fake blood to show that someone has been seriously injured. When filming this scene we plan to not really show the car since we couldn't really fake a car crash while still showing the actual cars. By using these props we will mimic the car crash and show to the audience that someone was hurt with the resources we have. Another thing we had to figure out is the music for scenes. We were still deciding on what songs we would use for the car and the waking up scene. After talking with my group we came up with songs that we would use for these scenes.
