Editing and Filming Changes

Editing and Filming Changes

So overall to this point I had closely followed my storyboard when filming the scenes and shots. However, when I started to order my scenes and edit them I realized some scenes didn't flow well in the order of the story. I decided to go out and film so additional scenes and take out some angles and shots I had previously recorded. This additional filming took up the time I was going to spend editing but after changing from the storyboard it all looks well together. The storyboard had looked good until it came to life and I realized the scenes didn't flow well into each other. The scenes and shot I took out were not very important it was easily taken out and reshot in a different form. Some of my scenes I even kept in but just re-ordered. Although I did some additional filming I was glad I had some different angle shots to choose from when I had originally done all of my filmings.  After filming the scenes I still had time to edit so I came back and continued editing. I put in the new shots I recorded and was really happy with the way it looked. Besides rearranging scenes and shots I spent my editing time changing the color and appearance of the shot with filters and color changes. Since I had the difficulty of filming late into the night because of lighting and shadows I decided to try to edit the color of the film to get the scenes to appear that they had been shot later into the night. I think I did a good job to make the film appear the way I would like a appear to be the correct time of night. After filming I also muted all of the scenes I did not want original audio in. I then recorded all of my voiceovers and sound effects I made by myself. I made sound effects because I wanted some of the sounds to be lough and in the original audio, they were not. For me, I feel as if the hardest part was filming and finding the best order for all of my scenes, and now that I have done that everything else should go well. Overall I am excited to start adding sound and transitions because my movie is already going fairly well. I would like to finish editing as soon as I can so I can prepare for any issues I may run into. I also would like to show my final product to someone so they can peer review it and see if my vision as the director is executed well. At this point in the process, I am completely editing and am done with filming unless any more issues appear.
