Filming the Setting

 Filming The Setting

Yesterday I started my first day of filming. I filmed the first couple of scenes of my opening sequence. The first couple of scenes showed the setting the whole opening sequence takes place in which is Hollywood. While filming the first scene of the water tower I required some help. My mom drove the car and I recorded from the back seat. We made sure that everyone had their seatbelt on while driving. To stay safe it was also ensured that the driver would only pay attention to driving and that it was my job as the filmer to get the shot and worry about the camera movement and angle. I filmed the clip multiple times to make sure that when I went home I got at least one good shot. Every time we would drive past the water tower we would circle back around to get the shot while still staying safe and following the rules of the road. After filming the water tower I decided that would be all of my filmings for the day because it was about to be dark soon and I did not what that as my lighting. Once I got home I went through all the shots. I didn't delete any because I knew that I would do that when I started editing and had all the film on the editing software. When I got home I continued and finalized the props. I printed out the wanted posters which would be used in the upcoming filming day. When printing these out I had some difficulty getting it to look the way I had imagined. The picture on the "Wanted Poster" was meant to be an almost blurred photo. I tried to search for a picture but I couldn't find one that went along with my vision. Due to that, I decided to draw the picture myself. It took a couple of tries but I was finally able to get it the way I wanted. Overall I am happy with the work I did and the result of that work. I was able to finish all preparations and started the filming process, thankfully so far my planning has helped avoid issues.
