 Second Day of Filming



Today was the second day of filming. For our second day of filming we had planned to film the car crash scenes. After our first day of filming we realized there was a specific way we were gonna go about filming. Since our film is different then normal short film and involves repeating scenes we would have 2 record each scene in the string of scenes that repeats multiple times. So instead of going in the order of the story board we thought it would be easier to film each groups of scenes when we went out to film. This would be easier because we would already be in the right location, have the right props, have the right costumes, and it would just be better to do. When we went to start filming we ran into some issues. At first everything was going well and we were able to shoot some scenes however weather did not agree with us. As we started filming outside we started to notice you couldn’t hear the audio that well. It was really windy that day so the audio on videos was being picked up. Before we could have a chance to figure out what we could do it started to rain. When it started to rain we had to go back inside the house. Due to the rain we couldn’t record the car crash scene we had planned on doing. So instead we went inside and thought of another plan. We recorded all of our inside scenes or the ones we had left over. After finishing filming all of the indoor scenes we re watched them to make sure they were good and ones we wanted. While looking over them we noticed that we needed to reshoot some parts. Some of our films the right angle wasn’t taken after the specific action that we had to refill it so the transition would be smoother. After doing that we had a wrap to our filming day. Overall we ran into issues and deviated from plan however we still got stuff we needed to get done, done.

  All About Me     Hi, my name is Vanessa Gilbert and I am a sophomore this year at Fort Lauderdale Highschool. I live at home with my mom and dad, and I have a sister who lives in college. Comparing 9, The Short, and 9, The Full Length Movie

Comparing 9, The Short ,and 9, The Full Length Movie Short Film  Today I watched the short film 9. This is a seven-minute-long animated short film. I really enjoyed watching this short film. The characters were really unique. I honestly liked the rag doll's appearance of some and the robotic appearance of others. The setting was also very unique and cool. It had a post-apocalyptic feel and somewhat reminded me of Wall-e. The sound is what really made an impact on me most though. There was no dialogue in the short film. The only sound really heard is diegetic and score. The lack of sound helped set the mood of the short film a lot. It made moments feel more scary and suspenseful. The sound of the robotic spider characters made me feel as if I was inside the film. The plot was interesting too. The main character is a rag doll-like with a 9 on its back. 9 seems to have had a mentor or a friend in the past. 9's friend has the same appearance but with a 5 instead of on its back. The...
