Planning Filming Details





 Planning was a very important aspect of filming. I first started by ensuring I had the proper location to film. My first location will be the Hollywood Water Tower, which is used to establish the location. The car driving on roads will also be used as a location for a brief scene. The neighborhood street will be used as the second location of a movie, which is where characters travel. The last location is my house which will play the setting of an old abandoned house. To portray my thought I will be using myself and my sister for acting and filming and also utilizing my parents for help when I need people in the scene and one to record. Due to the current pandemic, I found it best to work by myself but I still need help to get the final product I would like. The location is taking place at my house and inside a car on the street so I know it is safe. In addition to that during filming, I will only be around immediate family, and since I am always around them, I am not putting myself at any extended health risk. Safety is my highest priority and I found this to be the safest. Besides measures taken due to the current global health status, I will ask to have first aid kits in case anyone gets injured while filming. Since we are filming in the evening it will be darker and hard to see sometimes so the first aid kit along with an adult around at all times will be there to help reduce or assist in an issue or injury. It will also be my utmost concern to have someone around when we shoot the final clip of the person falling into the water just in case something happens to them during that time, like if someone slips or gets injured. In the car, all participants of the filmmaking process will be wearing seatbelts and the driver will be focused on driving while everyone else focuses on filming or what they are supposed to be doing. With all of these plans, I found it best to have a schedule. On March 3rd I will gather all my materials and start filming. After all, clips are filmed by March 15 I will start adding audio and editing all of my clips together. I aim to be done by April 1st so I am able to have time to allow someone else to review my film and work out any issues that may arise. Planning is very important to me and making sure that my film is thought through ,but also the process is very important to me.

Comparing 9, The Short ,and 9, The Full Length Movie Short Film  Today I watched the short film 9. This is a seven-minute-long animated short film. I really enjoyed watching this short film. The characters were really unique. I honestly liked the rag doll's appearance of some and the robotic appearance of others. The setting was also very unique and cool. It had a post-apocalyptic feel and somewhat reminded me of Wall-e. The sound is what really made an impact on me most though. There was no dialogue in the short film. The only sound really heard is diegetic and score. The lack of sound helped set the mood of the short film a lot. It made moments feel more scary and suspenseful. The sound of the robotic spider characters made me feel as if I was inside the film. The plot was interesting too.
