1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?
- Certain cast and the title of the movie we're introduced during the title sequence. A title was also shown in the scribbled and messy font. The bold red font was also used as a representation of the bloodshed in this horror film.
2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?
- Many of the images used appeared to look like burned photos. These allowed the story to be told in an unsetting and unique way. The pictures indirectly tell an overview of the story and pique the interest of the audience. The story is told through pictures and the non-diegetic sound playing in the background.
3. What connotations do these images carry?
- The appearance of the images has an uneasy, and scary connotation as the colors are dark and the images are beaten up. The written title also follows the horror conventions with blood-red font and scrubby font.

- The unsettling noises and disturbing style of pictures follow along with the elements of horror films. The audience feels uneasy and suspicious about what will happen next as the sound increases in tempo signaling a chance. Sound motifs also are used in the sequence to present a consistent tone in changing scenes and images.

- There are many things done to ensure that the audience feels appealed to by the film. Non-diegetic sound is used to enhance visual aspects of the screen during the title sequence.

- Technology is used to have seamless transitions from one image into another. This allows the atmosphere to smoothly stay intact while the scene and images change. The technology was also used to place text ontop of switching images in the title sequence. This engages the audience while still getting the information needed to them in the title sequence.
