Music Video: CCR

Image
Music Video: CCR 1. My final product challenges the natural convention which is that you have to go out to have the best day of your life. The popular belief is that to have a great time you have to go out with friends or family but that isn't true. That is the exact natural convention that my music video's message challenges and goes against overall. A very current and present issue is Covid-19. Covid-19 is a global pandemic that is affecting people all over the nation and the world by changing the way people must live their lives from the way they wor, go to school, shop, interact with others, and even how they leave their houses. People are unable to go out and enjoy the things they usually would during the normal times of society. Many people have taken these sudden and drastic changes in a very hard way, some worse than others. My product addresses that same issue as many face. My music video shows that to contrary belief you can have a great time at home which is the sa...

Best Day of My Life Music Video

Image
Best Day Of My Life Music Video     This music video was a lot of fun. At first, I had planned but as I put everything together I wasn't liking the way it was looking so although it was going to be tough I decided to take out my middle scenes and a few ending scenes and add new scenes to help portray a deeper message that I believe everyone needs to hear especially during this time. The new shots when well and the video came together lovely. In this project, the main thing I learned was to remember to focus on the deeper meaning and not just the lyrics of the song. I also tried to put more detail into the small things. I made certain action align with the sounds of the lyrics and when the music is at a high and low point. This helped make the video and song really connect and reel fluid with one another. It was a fun experience but from now on I've learned a few things. First of all, I learned that when I plan I need to think of the project to the end and not just plan to...

Pulling All My Shots Together

Image
Pulling All My Shots Together     A lot happened during my editing process and I had to change many aspects of my commercial to reach the product I wanted. When I continued to put the clips together I started to realize that my commercial to the song wasn't connecting and I wasn't liking the project that was starting to come together. So I decided to change the overall message of the music video and shoot new scenes to make the music video more relatable to current issues. I put together the scenes I was keeping and I then went and recorded a couple new scenes. This did make me divert from the storyboard for the last couple of scenes but I thought that the product would be better and have more of a deeper meaning that could actually change and affect people. The shots weren't recorded completely last minute. I had enough time to record the new shots the way I wanted but from all the changes I have made so far, I have learned to better focus on the final product while pla...

Putting The Camera Down

Image
Putting the Camera Down Today was the day I finished all of my filming for the project. The filming day went ok with a few setbacks. However, overall I got done what I needed to get done. My first issue was keeping the camera steady when shooting a moving scene. I am recording with my iPhone camera and when recording and moving the camera it is difficult to keep the camera steady. So I created a solution. To film bike riding away I put the person that was recording the shot on a rolly cart. This allowed them to keep there had still and the camera still while allowing the shot to be a moving shot.  The next issue I had was getting to my movie location. I wanted to film on the beach. At first, transportation was difficult but I was able to figure it out and film there. I did all my filming at the beach and redid a couple of shots to get it the way I wanted. When I had finally finished filming everything and went to go transfer all the shots to the editing program some of my cli...
