Best Day Of My Life Music Video


    This music video was a lot of fun. At first, I had planned but as I put everything together I wasn't liking the way it was looking so although it was going to be tough I decided to take out my middle scenes and a few ending scenes and add new scenes to help portray a deeper message that I believe everyone needs to hear especially during this time. The new shots when well and the video came together lovely. In this project, the main thing I learned was to remember to focus on the deeper meaning and not just the lyrics of the song. I also tried to put more detail into the small things. I made certain action align with the sounds of the lyrics and when the music is at a high and low point. This helped make the video and song really connect and reel fluid with one another. It was a fun experience but from now on I've learned a few things. First of all, I learned that when I plan I need to think of the project to the end and not just plan to get past the initial filming part. I also learned that my back up plans really need to matter because you never know when your whole film will change all of a sudden. In this video, I also paid more attention to the costumes. This was one of my favorite outfits I had worn for filming. This was especially important when I would film shot on different days to ensure that everything about the outfit was the same throughout the commercial to make it look like one consecutive day. Overall my attention to detail I believe really paid off because it incorporated more feeling into the video. My only issue was trying to keep the camera steady when filming shots but I think it turned out ok. Music videos are meant to showcase the song but also show the meaning of the song. This is a reason songs usually get people through tough times. Overall I was a little worried about the editing and shooting of the product but it all came out great. I portrayed my message that you don't need to go out to have fun especially during the times of Covid. Overall I believe I did get the message across in a fun way and my editing really helped pull it together with transitions. This was by far my favorite project. I am very proud of the work and progress I have made in filming and editing.

  All About Me     Hi, my name is Vanessa Gilbert and I am a sophomore this year at Fort Lauderdale Highschool. I live at home with my mom and dad, and I have a sister who lives in college. Comparing 9, The Short ,and 9, The Full Length Movie Short Film  Today I watched the short film 9. This is a seven-minute-long animated short film. I really enjoyed watching this short film. The characters were really unique. I honestly liked the rag doll's appearance of some and the robotic appearance of others. The setting was also very unique and cool. It had a post-apocalyptic feel and somewhat reminded me of Wall-e. The sound is what really made an impact on me most though. There was no dialogue in the short film. The only sound really heard is diegetic and score. The lack of sound helped set the mood of the short film a lot. It made moments feel more scary and suspenseful. The sound of the robotic spider characters made me feel as if I was inside the film. The plot was interesting too.
