Putting The Camera Down
Putting the Camera Down
Today was the day I finished all of my filming for the project. The filming day went ok with a few setbacks. However, overall I got done what I needed to get done. My first issue was keeping the camera steady when shooting a moving scene. I am recording with my iPhone camera and when recording and moving the camera it is difficult to keep the camera steady. So I created a solution. To film bike riding away I put the person that was recording the shot on a rolly cart. This allowed them to keep there had still and the camera still while allowing the shot to be a moving shot. The next issue I had was getting to my movie location. I wanted to film on the beach. At first, transportation was difficult but I was able to figure it out and film there. I did all my filming at the beach and redid a couple of shots to get it the way I wanted. When I had finally finished filming everything and went to go transfer all the shots to the editing program some of my clips got deleted. So before editing, I had to go back and re film my first couple of shots. These were the waking up shot and breakfast shot. It didn't take too long to have those filmed and ready to edit again. I transferred everything to the editing and the first thing I did was get the song to overlap all the clips and mute the actual sound that happened during the filming process. That is where I ended my editing for the day. I just wanted to get all the clips that I just filmed organized and get the music over and do the rest of the editing the next day. Everything has been going well and I am excited to continue my project.
