Creating Social Media
Creating Social Media
I and my group created social media for our short film, Wednesday Drive. We knew we wanted to have social media because we know social media is such an influential thing in the world right now. We started off by making a Gmail account for our film. All social media account usually require an email to be attached to them so we thought it would be best to make a designated email for that. We made the email name pretty basic and easy to remember. This also applied to the password because while making all the accounts we made them all the same. Although we know this isn't the best idea when it comes to security it would be best to ensure we don't lose logins and the information on those accounts is lost. When creating a Gmail we were automatically attached to a youtube account which was great because we planned to use one as a form of social media. This was great because we did not want to use Gmail as a form of public communication so being automatically attached to the youtube account was perfect. Next, we created Instagram. At first, we had issues creating it because every time we tried to log in it would take me or on whoever's device, it was on straight to our own personal Instagram. However, we were able to change it and add another account. We made our Instagram name something simple and easy to search up. The password was again the same as the Gmail account. Lastly, we made a Twitter account. This account was a lot easier to make than Instagram was. We just put in the information, username, and password, and made the account. We would use these social media in our advertisements for our film to get "buzz" about our film and reach a broader audience before the film is even out. Social media can reach so many people in such a short amount of time it was essential for the success of our short film. We decided to not make any more than Instagram, Twitter, and youtube because we thought that was sufficient. We didn't want too many social media and have "overkill".
