 Filming More Scenes

    In the past day, I filmed more of my scenes but ran into more issues than usual. Although it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. The scene I needed to film next required me to be in the car but I didn't have the car at the moment because my mom had taken it to work. I hadn't known she was going to work so I was unprepared for that but I decided to do some other things instead. I still wanted to use the same car to film and not a different one so I decided to skip those scenes and do the next ones. I did an establishing shot of the road and sidewalk. Then if I was gonna continue filming I was gonna have to do moving shots. At that point, I decided to wait until my mom got home to help me film and to use the car. I kept the car parked in my driveway and recorded the scene of the phone in the car. Since I am filming with my phone I had to use someone else's. I then got my mom to drive down the street for me and record my last framed shot of the car window. While filming this everyone in the car had their seatbelts on for safety. I then came to another challenging part in my filming which was more moving scenes. The scene I had to record was someone on a skateboard from the legs and down. I tried to use the stool but it was too hard to get the right angle on it. Instead, I got another skateboard I had and sat on it while the person skateboarding came towards me and someone pulled me back on the skateboard at the same time. At first, it didn't work but after a couple of tries and some changes, I was able to get a couple of different shots I was happy with. I also did a slower shot which looks best because the camera movement is nice and was thinking that I could just slightly speed it up when I edit. It was easier to record slowly than at the speed I wanted so I thought that this could work. I finished up recording all the shots for the skateboarding scene and ending my filming for the day there. Overall I ran into a couple more issues than usual but they weren't too bad and were easily solved for now. My filming day was mainly called to end because of the sun, I don't want any harsh shadows when filming so I stop filming at a certain time.

Comparing 9, The Short ,and 9, The Full Length Movie Short Film  Today I watched the short film 9. This is a seven-minute-long animated short film. I really enjoyed watching this short film. The characters were really unique. I honestly liked the rag doll's appearance of some and the robotic appearance of others. The setting was also very unique and cool. It had a post-apocalyptic feel and somewhat reminded me of Wall-e. The sound is what really made an impact on me most though. There was no dialogue in the short film. The only sound really heard is diegetic and score. The lack of sound helped set the mood of the short film a lot. It made moments feel more scary and suspenseful. The sound of the robotic spider characters made me feel as if I was inside the film. The plot was interesting too.
