 Starting The Final Task


    Hi, my name is Vanessa Gilbert. I am a Sophomore at Fort Lauderdale Highschool. I live at home with my mom and dad and do remote learning at home too. I also have a sister who is in college and comes home sometimes on the weekends. This is my first year in AICE Media AS. Here I use my creativity to come up with original filming, ideas and so much more. I will be creating the opening sequence from an original film I come up with. In this original upcoming film sequence project, I decided to work alone. There are too many factors and I believe that working alone is my best option. During this time it is difficult to work with other people and film with especially from remote learning during a pandemic. So for the safety of myself and my family, I decided it would be best for me to work alone and during the filming process. I do however understand that I will most likely need other people to help me in the filming aspect of this project. Since the acting and filming will be difficult to do on my own since one person only has so many hands. During the parts of filming that I would like to have other people like actors and actresses, I would get family members and myself to play the parts and record. This way I can have the extra people I need while still doing what's best for my family and my own health. It will be more challenging having to come up with all the ideas and do all the work on my own but I know I can handle it. I am really excited to dive into all the planning and coming up with ideas for my film. Since I am working alone it will also be cool to be able to direct others during the acting and filming part because it is my idea that they are helping become a reality. This project is an excellent opportunity to express my creativity to format the final project. I can't wait until I finish and am able to see the final product of all my hard work soon to come.

  All About Me     Hi, my name is Vanessa Gilbert and I am a sophomore this year at Fort Lauderdale Highschool. I live at home with my mom and dad, and I have a sister who lives in college. I love all animals, and in addition to my family members, I have a dog names biscuit and two cats named rainbow and teddy who live at the house and are basically family. My favorite class in school is usually science but this year I am excited for a couple of my classes too. I especially am excited for AICE Media because I have always been really interested in movie making and how the idea of a movie comes together. Comparing 9, The Short, and 9, The Full Length Movie

Comparing 9, The Short ,and 9, The Full Length Movie Short Film  Today I watched the short film 9. This is a seven-minute-long animated short film. I really enjoyed watching this short film. The characters were really unique. I honestly liked the rag doll's appearance of some and the robotic appearance of others. The setting was also very unique and cool. It had a post-apocalyptic feel and somewhat reminded me of Wall-e. The sound is what really made an impact on me most though. There was no dialogue in the short film. The only sound really heard is diegetic and score. The lack of sound helped set the mood of the short film a lot. It made moments feel more scary and suspenseful. The sound of the robotic spider characters made me feel as if I was inside the film. The plot was interesting too. The main character is a rag doll-like with a 9 on its back. 9 seems to have had a mentor or a friend in the past. 9's friend has the same appearance but with a 5 instead of on its back. The...
